Welcome back! I know it has been a long time since the last show, but hopefully I can get this thing on track and start bringing you some awesome content on a more regular basis.
Today I talk about and show off the Apple TV, a great device for watching content from your computer on your HDTV. I call it a media server because that’s how I use it, a vehicle to server up all my digital goodness!
I also take you on a quick behind the scenes tour of my mini studio. So sit back and enjoy my rambling, it’s a long one!
And as always, if I missed a good tip or other important information, please post a comment on the blog @ http://thatsawesome.tv
Enjoy!

Great show, Scott.
Anyone out there have recommendations for a good video converter for Windows? I’ve used the Videora AppleTV converter which has simple presets for quick conversion, but doesn’t seem to do a very good job with interlaced video.

For DVD’s handbrake is available for windows… not sure about other movie files… I thought videora was good… have you tried quicktime pro?

I was hoping for a all-in-one free (as in beer) solution.
VirtualDub does a good job of de-interlacing. But it adds another step to getting my videos onto the AppleTV.

Muey Beuno.
I think that means more. I did not get the hole Apple TV thing, it looked awesome, and that’s an Awesome TV, but i just Don’t think i could hook it up.
A good question though, do I need an apple computer to run Apple TV or can i use my dell. I know i should get an apple, I am not that cool yet. Studio tour was very cool. The only thing that would make it better is a Belgium Pro II waffle maker on that table. Yummy

“do I need an apple computer to run Apple TV or can i use my dell”
The Apple TV interfaces with iTunes, so you can use it with both a PC and a Mac
