This is the third and final part of the “Tricks of the Trade” series. In this episode I discuss video compression and also touch on the different ways I publish That’s Awesome.TV to the web. Everything from bitrates to aspect ratios to video codecs. After viewing this there will be no excuses for publishing low quality videos to the web. Sit back and enjoy, it’s a lot of information, but hopefully educational.
As always, if I missed a good tip or other important information, please send me an email or post it on my blog.
Enjoy!

Hey Scott, great show. Question: When exporting your video, do you prepare it for internet streaming using “Fast Start” or “Fast Start – Compressed Header”? I tried a couple of times using the Compressed Header option and my videos do not instantly start like yours do. I’m using the same settings that you use, but I’m just unsure on this one setting for Fast Start.
Thanks!
